Royal Leopold Lodge No1669
Lodge of Instruction
The Royal Leopold Class of Improvement
The members of the Royal Leopold believe that masonry should be enjoyed, and are also conscientious about the standard of work they produce in the lodge. This is exemplified by the time and effort members put in at the Lodge of Instruction, where members practise their Masonic ritual.
The Lodge of Instruction now meets for at least two evenings before the meetings, and members are encouraged to join local LOIs if they wish.
Meetings are held in a friendly atmosphere, giving members the opportunity to learn and practise at their own pace, especially new members who are just starting in masonry. It's also a chance to meet, get to know, and build lasting friendships with fellow Lodge members.
Some lodges hold their LOI in masonic halls or hire rooms, some venues have bar facilities. After finishing, members can relax and enjoy tea, coffee, snacks, and drinks if available.
From September to April, most Lodge of Instruction meetings are held every two weeks (on average), between 6–8pm. Because most members live outside London, the lodge aims to hold LOI once a month and before meetings.
At Christmas, some Lodge of Instructions arrange a festive dinner at local restaurants.
